Kathy Tremblay A Contender Up Until the Run

Montréal, August 18, 2008 (Sportcom) - Montréaler Kathy Tremblay (2h 05min 23s) came in 31st at the Olympic triathlon held Monday at the Ming tombs. The two big favourites in the event, Australian Emma Snowsill (1h 58min 27s) and Vanessa Fernandes (1h 59min 34s) of Portugal, climbed to the top of the podium. Emma Moffatt (1h 59min 55s), of Australia, finished third.

Richards Bay BG Triathlon World Cup 2008

Montréal, May 4, 2008 (Sportcom) - Kathy Tremblay came very close to climbing up on the podium Sunday, finishing fourth at the World Cup triathlon in Richards Bay, South Africa. The athlete, originally from Gatineau, finished in a time of 2 h 03 min 51 s; 10 seconds behind bronze medalist, Magali Di marco Messmer of Switzerland. Canadian Carolyn Murray won the race with a time of 2 h 03 min 32 s; three seconds faster than Australian Felicity Abram.

Kathy Tremblay One Step Closer to the Games in Beijing After Placing 5th

Montréal, April 13, 2008 (Sportcom) - Kathy Tremblay has completed half of the process leading to her selection for the Olympic Team in Beijing.

Indeed, the Gatineau native finished in fifth place on Sunday at the World Cup race held in Ishigaki, Japan, thus meeting the first selection criteria, which consisted of placing in the top eight at a World Cup event before the World Championships, which will be held on June 8 in Vancouver

World Cup - New-Plymouth (New-Zealand)

Not a Good Start for Kathy Tremblay

Montréal, April 6, 2008 (Sportcom) - In her first World Cup competition this season, Kathy Tremblay ranked 25th in an event in New Plymouth, New Zealand. The Montréaler, originally from Gatineau had a time of 2 h 5 min 52 s, finishing 4 min 51 s behind the winner, Australian Emma Moffatt. Lisa Norden of Sweden, and Felicity Abram of Australia rounded out the top three.
